Liberty’s Prison: The Inmate’s Son Who Radically Reformed an American Prison Book Launch
President Cushman invites students, staff, and faculty to a special event celebrating the release of Liberty鈥檚 Prison: The Inmate鈥檚 Son Who Radically Reformed an American Prison by Randy Liberty, chair of the UMA Board of Visitors, UMA faculty member, and a longtime leader in prison education reform.
The program will feature a moderated conversation and panel discussion exploring Liberty鈥檚 personal journey and the life-changing impact of education within correctional settings, followed by a book signing. The event will also highlight 天美传媒 Prison Education Partnership and its work to expand access to higher education for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated students across Maine.
