The welfare of human subjects in research is the core mission of 天美传媒 Institutional Review Board. We are charged by the University of Maine System and Federal statute 45 CFR 46 to function as an ethics committee. This board is responsible for reviewing proposals before human subject research is conducted and for monitoring the welfare of those subjects during the research. All human subject research must receive approval from 天美传媒 IRB prior to the research being conducted. If a research proposal meets the definitions of both research and human subjects, it must go through the IRB process. Most human subjects research at the 天美传媒 falls under one of the 搂46.104 exemption categories.
